Lyndsey Allan

Before I had the courage to reach out and take the leap of faith, I was feeling embarrassed about my appearance and was trying to hide behind clothes (sometime telling myself that clothes are small made these days to justify why I had gone up to the next size). As someone that suffers from lack of confidence and self-belief, my every changing body shape was having a negative impact on my mood.

I have always been into fitness so that wasn’t my issue. My attitude and mindset to food was my biggest issue, I was very much I can eat what I like because I did exercise. As my clothes became tighter and my mood lower, I knew it was time for a change, and there was only one person I had in mind to guide and support me through that journey and that was Martin.

When I made contact with Martin, he gave me the confidence and self-belief that I could make the changes. He gave me knowledge and understanding to make positive lifestyle changes to gain the physical changes I had longed for.

My journey hasn’t always been easy and straight forward as there had been set backs along the way but having a different mindset through the guidance of the process and embracing “control what you can control” attitude I continued to see the positive results. It would have been easier to throw in the towel but that was never going to be an option. My journey hasn’t just been positive for myself but for my whole family as we have all changed our attitude towards foods and mealtimes. This process has really been life changing and in such a positive way. So, if anyone is reading this and is sitting on the fence about joining team tank then my advice would be getting off that fence and reach out, it has had such a positive impact on my life and it will be the best decision that you could make and one you will never regret.

I would like to say thanks to the TeamTank family who have been welcoming and inclusive bunch of like-minded people who offers support and encouragement to everyone.

Lastly the biggest thanks have to go to Martin for giving me the knowledge to make a positive change to my lifestyle and the confidence to succeed. It’s easy to see the physical changes but the positive changes to my mindset have been the greatest achievement and that has been down to Martin and following the process and ticking the boxes.
