After 7 years of picking shit up and putting it back down, I was finally ready to step on stage and compete as a natural body builder. This was by no means going to be easy and it was literally my life’s work up until now, but it’s one of the very few things I’ve ever been good at and it was going to feel amazing to have finally met this goal. The respect you get for the work you put in and the attention you get for the shape you’re in; it’s great, but it’s more than just that to me. It instils a confidence within me, a purpose and a drive to do well. It keeps me grounded and healthy and it challenges me. I fucking love it. Nothing compares. Unfortunately, it wasn’t going to be my year, and as a result of the corona virus I was left with no show. This was crushing to say the least, but I came a long way and applied new things, it’s been a long hard grind. Dieting was very simple, but it’s extremely difficult. I’m either all in or nothing at all, and I feel my photos reflect that. I came within 5g’s of my macros 99% of the time and never once missed my step count or cardio. I trained as hard as I could in line with the literature, and Martin was incredibly helpful in making this more practical when need be. I’m not in a position to diet again anytime soon, other commitments will get in the way, but I will definitely be back again to compete in the future and Martin is the only man for the job. His experience proved pivotal in my success and he truly is a first class coach. I highly recommend his services for any fitness endeavour; but just be willing to work. He will push you all the way and want nothing more than your success, and I don’t know anyone else in the industry that does as much for his clients than him. Very generous, evidence based, all round knowledgeable coach. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this and don’t hesitate to get stuck into your goals. It’s always worth it in the end.
